As the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Nanoleaf, Gimmy plays a key role in our journey to success. Since founding the company in 2012, he has turned Nanoleaf from a Kickstarter project into a global smart home brand. Gimmy is based in Toronto Canada, with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto. Prior to starting Nanoleaf, Gimmy had over 8 years of management experience at Accenture, where he delivered multi-million dollar projects for companies like Best Buy, TD Bank, and Hawaiian Telecom. His unique background in IT optimisation, comprehensive understanding of corporate structure, and intuitive problem solving abilities has proven to be key in growing Nanoleaf into a global company.

As the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Nanoleaf, Tom leads the development of company's technology roadmap. He has been the mastermind behind all of Nanoleaf's products, and serves as a guiding light to the product development team, which has delivered numerous breakthrough products.

Tom is currently based in Shenzhen China, and holds a PhD from the University of Toronto. He’s had a strong curiosity for designing energy efficient electronics since childhood, and has studied engineering from an early age. His deep passion for sustainability and endless curiosity for finding new ways to do things better through technology is his driving force.

As the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer at Nanoleaf, Christian is the key person behind the company's global supply chain and operations management, and is dedicated to ensuring that Nanoleaf products meet the highest quality standards in the most environmentally friendly way.

Christian is currently based in Shenzhen China. He holds an electrical engineering degree from the University of Toronto. With over 8 years of experience as managing director of a large manufacturing facility in Guangzhou, China, and his in-depth experience with supply chain management, Christian plays a pivotal role in optimising the way Nanoleaf operates as a global company.

Julian Lighton is a seasoned executive coach, board advisor, and strategist with over 30 years of leadership experience in public and private tech companies. He has held senior strategic roles—including Chief Strategy Officer at Renaissance Learning, Outerwall (including Corsair), TiVo (later Rovi), and Neustar—and served as General Manager of a $200M software/services division. Earlier in his career, he worked at Cisco, Hitachi, McKinsey & Co., Cambridge Technology Partners, and Andersen Consulting.

Since 2014, Julian has led Moo Pie Advisors, Inc. and Moo Pie Ventures LLC, advising and coaching CEOs and executive teams across SaaS, digital media, education technology, analytics, and information services sectors. He’s an ICF‑certified Coach (PCC), trained at the Hudson Institute, and holds a BA/MA in Law from Oxford University, plus negotiation diplomas from Harvard Kennedy School and LSE.
